Signing up

Two short steps: your account, then a few questions about your business.

  1. On the MINT home page press Sign up (or open Create account). Enter your name, your work email, a password of at least 8 characters, the name of your organization — your company or team — and the country it’s based in (search by name or dialling code). The country decides the payment options your sites can offer: in Bangladesh, SSLCommerz and bKash as well as Stripe; elsewhere, Stripe.
  2. Tell us about your business: industry, team size, your role, your website, what you want to build and how you heard about us. Every question is optional — skip any of them.
  3. Press Create account. You’re signed in, as the owner of your new organization, on its projects page. Later, the home page’s Dashboard button brings you straight back in.

Your answers help us set things up for you. You can change them later under Organization → Settings.

Forgot your password? Reset it from the sign-in page — we email you a link.

Joining by invitation

Someone invited you? You don’t need to sign up first.

Open the link in the invitation email. If you’re new, choose your name and a password and you’re in. If you already have an account, press Join (or sign in with your password) — the organization is added to the ones you belong to, and both are listed under Your organizations. The link works for 7 days.

With a verified email, invitations also show on Projects under Invitations for you. See When you’re invited.

Finding your way around

Everything happens inside a project; the switcher at the top tells you which.

WhereWhat it is
The switcher (top right)The project you’re in and its organization. Open it to jump to another project, see all projects, switch organization or start a new one.

You only see the parts your role allows: someone without the Build permission has no Build section, for example. See Roles and permissions.

Your first project

A project is an app, a website or an API. Your home page walks you through the first one.

Right after you sign up, your home page is a welcome: what MINT is, the three kinds of project, and every step to a working project, each with its guide. We also email you the same steps.

  1. Under Step 1 · Choose what to build, press Start an app, Start a website or Start an API. Or, any time, on Projects, press New project.
  2. Name it. Then start from a ready-made template (with its models and sample data), or set it up yourself.
  3. Press Create project. It opens on its Get started page.
Once you have a project, the steps become a Getting started checklist on your home page. Inside a project, its dashboard shows Suggested next steps as cards made for that kind of project — build your first model, add records, arrange the sidebar, build the dashboard, invite your team, connect your AI, open the public API, and the guides. The highlighted card is the one to do next. Cards tick themselves when MINT can tell (a model, a record, a saved dashboard, an invitation); tick the others with Mark done, or press Hide — Show suggestions brings them back.

More in Projects.

Your first model

A model is a kind of thing you keep track of. Build one and it gets its own page.

Say you take bookings. Open Build → Models and press New model:

  1. Title it Bookings and add its fields: Guest name (text, required), Date (date), Guests (number), Status (options: pending, confirmed, cancelled).
  2. Step through the rest — what the table shows, the form, the detail page, the filters. The suggestions are already sensible, so Next is fine for a first model.
  3. On the last step, choose the sidebar section for it (or + New section… to make one) and press Create model.

Bookings now has a page in the sidebar with a table, search, filters, an add form and a page for each booking. Prefer to describe it in words? Connect your own AI and ask it to build the model.

Adding records

Open the model’s page from the sidebar and press the add button.

Fill in the form and save. The record appears in the table; click its row to open it. From there you can edit it, see its history, and — once models link to each other — its related records. Everything about tables is in Working with records.

Bringing in your team

Invite people by email and choose a role for each.

Open Organization → Members, press Invite, enter their email, pick a role and choose their projects — all, or only some. They get an email with a link. A Member views, adds, edits and deletes records; an Admin can do everything but hand over the organization. Make your own roles for anything in between — see Your organization.
